01 Detect

Early detection is essential when dealing with lithium battery failures. Schneider systems continuously monitor off-gas formation, temperature changes and pressure build-up, allowing early signs of thermal runaway to be identified before ignition occurs. This enables the system to respond automatically while the incident is still controllable.

02 Intervene

Once early indicators of failure are detected, the system immediately initiates automated countermeasures. Active ventilation, rapid port closure and precision-controlled airflow are deployed to stabilize the environment and prevent escalation. By intervening at the earliest stage, the system stops thermal runaway from developing further, maintaining control over the situation.

03 Contain

In the event that a battery failure progresses, the Schneider Containment system ensures that all hazards remain securely contained within the enclosure. The explosion-proof housing, fire-resistant materials and dual pressure relief valves manage pressure build-up and prevent structural compromise.
